Every September, millions of people around the world head out to the coastal areas to clean up all of the trash they come across. Getting involved in this yearly event is a great way to help make a difference in the environment. Whether you volunteer 30 minutes or two hours is all up to you, but you can walk the beach or river area picking up trash and be a part of a global yearly movement.
There are sites throughout Volusia County that you can meet people at to get the supplies to get involved. From Ormond Beach down to Oak Hill, you can join in on it. There are sites all along the beaches and rivers, including in Daytona Beach, New Smryna Beach, and Port Orange.
