The New Smyrna Beach Police Department keeps a Prescription Drug Disposal Box in the lobby of the police department throughout the year. This box can be accessed and used by the public during business hours (Mon. - Fri. 0800 AM to 0530 PM).

This disposal box combined with the DEA Take Back Event that we participate in twice a year, is how we try to prevent dangerous medications from falling in to the hands of others they are not intended for.
