Volusia Senior was started and is run by Jacqueline Bodnar, a professional writer and blogger who has had over 3,000 articles published in magazines and newspapers around the world. She has ghostwritten eight books for doctors, and is author of "Blog for Bucks," "Starting Your Career as a Professional Blogger,” and the historical fiction novel "Blueberry Steel."

She offers professional writing services, having completed thousands of projects for companies locally and around the world. Her other blogs include Volusia County Moms, Florida Family Nature, VegBlogger.com, and Daytona Beach Bound.

A Michigan native, she moved to the area in 2006, after spending a decade living in Las Vegas, where she graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. When she's not writing, Jacqueline enjoys spending time with her family, reading, hiking, RV camping, snorkeling the springs, sipping tea, and traveling. She is a Florida Master Naturalist, a nature lover, runner, avid reader and hiker.

In 2023, Jacqueline became a licensed massage therapist and opened a local practice, called Zensational Massage Therapy. She went to massage school at age 52!
